Khamenei's advisor makes accusations against Azerbaijan

Iran's religious leader Ali Khamenei's senior adviser on international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, criticized Azerbaijan-Israel relations.
"The reason for our parting ways with them is Azerbaijan's relations with Israel," Velayati claimed. Although the province claims that they want to have good-will relations with Azerbaijan, it has set a condition for this.
"We cannot accept Muslim countries establishing relations with Israel. A country in contact with Israel is considered alien to us," Khamenei's advisor said.
Earlier, Iranian officials made many similar statements and expressed their concerns about the closeness of Azerbaijan-Israel relations.
It should be noted that the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in response to the statements made regarding the relations with Israel: "We do not allow others to interfere in the internal and external affairs of Azerbaijan. We decide which country to cooperate with."
