Azerbaijan Hands Over Bodies of 95 Armenian Soldiers to Yerevan

The State Commission on Captive and Missing Hostage Citizens of Azerbaijan has released information that on September 20, Azerbaijan handed over the bodies of 95 Armenian soldiers to the Armenian side through the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross. "After the inspection was conducted with the participation of the Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan, it was determined that there were no signs of violence on them," he added.

According to the Commission, the humanitarian process of handing over the bodies of Armenian servicemen to the other side will be continued. 

Earlier, on September 17, Caucasus Watch reported that the bodies of 32 Armenian servicemen found in the territories controlled by Azerbaijan after the military operations had been examined together with the relevant employees of the Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan, and no signs of violence were found on them. "On September 17, those bodies were handed over to the other party. Currently, the examination of other corpses belonging to Armenian soldiers is being conducted, and they will be handed over in the near future," the State Commission said.
