| News, Georgia, Abkhazia

Commenting on the statements of the military commissar, the Press Office of the de-facto Defense Ministry of Abkhazia said that the point of view of Beslan Tarba, the military commissar of Abkhazia, regarding partial mobilization in the republic does not coincide with the position of the Ministry of Defense.

"The Military Commissar of the Republic of Abkhazia, in an interview with the Sputnik news agency, commented on the partial mobilization in the Russian Federation. This point of view does not reflect the position of the Ministry of Defense but is a personal point of view of Beslan Tarba," the Ministry of Defense of Abkhazia emphasized

Tarba considered that the mobilization announced in Russia on September 21 partially concerns the inhabitants of Abkhazia. "If it is necessary to carry out partial mobilization, we will naturally do this when we receive separate official instruction. It will not rust behind us. There are no debts to anyone, but we are always there," said Tarba. The military commissar also said that he heard the call of Nikolay Pankov, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, who allegedly stated that it was time to pay Abkhazia's debts.

The [self-proclaimed] Ministry of Defense of Abkhazia noted that Pankov's statement circulated on social networks is fake. "The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Abkhazia considers it necessary to state that the statement of State Secretary-Deputy Minister of Defense Nikolay Pankov, widely reported in the media, is a fake and does not correspond to reality," the Defense Ministry of Abkhazia said in a commentary. The Ministry emphasized that the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Abkhazia performs tasks by previously concluded treaties and agreements in the military field with the Russian Federation.
