Third Meeting of Armenia-Azerbaijan Border Delimitation Commission Takes Place in Brussels

On November 3, under the chairmanship of Shahin Mustafayev, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Mher Grigoryan, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, the third meeting of the Commission on border delimitation and border security issues was held, the press offices of the Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministries reported.

Before the start of the meeting, Stefano Sannino, the Secretary General of the European External Action Service, greeted the delegations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, wished success to the work of the Commissions, and confirmed that the European Union is ready to help in the normalization of relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia.

Shahin Mustafayev and Mher Grigoryan expressed their gratitude to the Council of the European Union for the good organization of the meeting in their welcoming speeches.

Considering the agreements reached in different formats at the level of the leaders of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, the parties continued the discussion of delimitation issues and considered organizational and procedural issues. To determine the legal framework of the joint activity of the commissions, the parties agreed to speed up the work on agreeing on the procedure for the joint action of the State Commission on the delimitation of the state border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia and the Commission on the delimitation of the state border and border security issues between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. Moreover, the parties agreed to determine the date and place of the fourth meeting of the Commissions in working order.
