| News, Georgia, Tskhinvali

The de-facto head of Tskhinvali (South Ossetia), Anatoly Bibilov, visited the territory of the DPR on a working visit. The purpose of his visit was a series of meetings with the leadership of the DPR and the discussion of working issues within the framework of various areas of cooperation. Issues related to the military situation in the separatist republic discussed.

Hospital No. 2 in microdistrict 17 of Mariupol received humanitarian aid from the Ministry of Emergency Situations. This was announced by the separatist President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov in the meeting.

“There are many wounded here, doctors work heroically no matter what. From the residents of South Ossetia, I donated insulin to the hospital, it [was] not available in the city at all, we have partially covered the need. I talked with the doctors, found out what exactly needed to be delivered, made a list - in the near future we will send an additional load of medicines here,” Bibilov wrote on his Telegram channel.

The head of South Ossetia also visited a temporary accommodation centre in Volodarskoye, from which residents evacuated from the combat zone are sent to Russian cities.

Earlier, the de facto government of South Ossetia announced that a referendum would be held on whether the area should join Russia. In a March 30 televised speech, the de facto ruler Anatoly Bibilov declared, "unification with Russia is our strategic aim, our route, the aspiration of our people, and we will advance on this path. We will take the necessary legal actions as soon as possible. South Ossetia will be reunited with its ancient country, Russia.”

Also, in early March, the rally "Ossetia against Nazism" was held in the centre of Russian-occupied Tskhinvali. About 10,000 people came to show support for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s policy and decision, who announced on February 24 an operation to “de-nazify” Ukraine.

De-facto President Anatoly Bibilov spoke at the event and stressed that the people of South Ossetia fully support Donbas. “We ourselves have gone through this difficult path of testing. We have gathered here to emphasise our exceptional support for the policy of the Russian Federation,” Bibilov said during the rally.
