Another Meeting between Karabakh Armenians and Azerbaijan Takes Place in Khojaly
On September 25, another round of negotiations between representatives of Baku and Karabakh Armenians took place in the settlement of Khojaly (Ivanyan in Armenian). The meeting was mediated by the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent. The Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Ramin Mammadov, responsible for contacts with Karabakh Armenians, and the Karabakh delegation by Sergey Martirosyan, de facto deputy secretary of the Security Council.
According to the information of the presidential administration of Azerbaijan, at the meeting in Khojaly the agreement was expressed on the steps taken to resolve the issues discussed in Yevlakh, in particular, on the provision of humanitarian aid, fuel supply and restoration of power supply.
"The meeting of the members of the working group headed by Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev with the relevant representatives of municipal, health and other civil activities in the region and the establishment of a joint working group was agreed," the information emphasized.
According to the statement, it was proposed that medical personnel of Azerbaijani and Armenian origin jointly organize medical services in any field hospital near the city of Khankendi/Stepanakert or in the direction of Khojaly: "It was also proposed to establish a mobile food supply service by Azerbaijani and Armenian service personnel".
The proposal to organize visits of representatives of civil society and social activists of Armenian origin living in the Karabakh economic region to Baku and other cities of Azerbaijan was also emphasized at the meeting.
