Armenia And Iran Reaffirm High-Level Political Dialogue
On October 13, Davit Karapetyan, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, met in Tehran with Saeed Khatibzadeh, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran and Head of the Center for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, both sides emphasized the high level of political dialogue between Armenia and Iran and the breadth of their bilateral agenda. They highlighted the significance of implementing initiatives to deepen cooperation in economic, cultural, and educational fields.
The interlocutors also addressed recent regional developments, stressing the importance of institutionalizing peace in the region following the Washington agreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Karapetyan and Khatibzadeh discussed potential areas for further collaboration, including prospects within the frameworks of the "Yerevan Dialogue" and the "Tehran Dialogue" conferences, as well as the possibility of expanding cooperation between the Center for Political and International Studies of Iran and the Diplomatic School of Armenia.
