Armenia will be able to discover investments from Russia reported Overchuk
Armenia will be able to discover investment opportunities from Russia in a new way. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk stated at the opening of the Armenian-Russian business forum in Yerevan.
He noted that the trade turnover between Armenia and Russia in the first half of 2021 increased by 16%, according to the Armenian side, and by 17.2%, according to the Russian data.
"But it is necessary to work on diversifying mutual trade and attracting new investments. For this we can and must take advantage of the capabilities of Russian institutional structures, such as the Russian Export Centre and others," he said.
At this forum, Armenia will be able to discover collaboration avenues with Russia in trade and investment, energy, mechanical engineering, transport, information and communication technologies, he added.
Russian companies are ready to consider new projects, which, no doubt, will be presented in Armenia, he summed up.
Note that the Russian-Armenian business forum is being held in Yerevan on September 20. It was attended by the deputy prime ministers of the two countries, various ministers, and representatives of big business. As part of the dialogue, prominent Armenian businessmen will hold a business forum with the support of the Russian government.
