Azerbaijan and Turkey Hold Flight-tactical Exercises

On the evening of September 1, a group of aircraft and technical personnel of the Turkish Air Force arrived in Azerbaijan to take part in the joint exercises "TurAz Qartalı-2022", the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported

According to the information, to prepare for the maneuvers, appropriate measures are being taken to accommodate the personnel of the arriving Turkish contingent, planning exercises, and other organizational issues. 

On September 5, the opening ceremony of the "TurAz Qartalı - 2022" Joint Flight-Tactical Exercises was held. The event was attended by Azerbaijani and Turkish servicemen, the head of the Executive Power of Ganja city, Niyazi Bayramov, and other guests.

Major General Zaur Rustamov, an officer of the Air Force, welcomed the guests and emphasized that conducting such exercises is important in planning joint activities, studying interaction and combat interoperability, and carrying out search-and-rescue measures.

Niyazi Bayramov, the Head of the Executive Power of Ganja city, highlighted the successful development of friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey and the high results of these relations.

Then a briefing on the exercises' objectives, the training and accommodation of military personnel, the forces involved, the tasks to be fulfilled, the flight of aircraft, and their usage was given.
