Azerbaijan will reissue nautical charts, update computerised Caspian Sea maps for boats flying the Azerbaijani flag, and alter the water areas of its ports. During a meeting of representatives from Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company and Baku International Sea Trade Port, the decision was made to update the computerised map of Azerbaijan's Caspian Sea water basin.

The parties also addressed the establishment of new trestle coordinates and their depiction on new edition maps, the establishment of a new anchorage in Sangachal village's water zone, and the maintenance and repair of navigation equipment (buoys, sections, lighthouses, and coastal signs). Therefore, on the new sea maps, the coordinates of the items under development will be displayed.

The Caspian Sea offers a lot of wind power potential for generating electricity. It has a wind power potential of 157 GW, according to estimates. The sea has the second highest wind energy potential in the world.

It's worth mentioning that the Caspian Sea's renewable energy potential is far bigger than Azerbaijan's entire energy potential from other forms of alternative energy sources. This indicates that the Caspian Sea is known not just for its oil and gas reserves, but also for its clean, alternative energy sources. In the Caspian Sea, wind turbines with a height of more than 90 metres will be built. In this regard, Deputy Energy Minister Elnur Soltanov remarked that while offshore wind turbines demand substantial expenditures, the Caspian Sea's wind energy potential makes them the most appealing to investors, and this would not result in a rise in power tariffs.

By 2030, Azerbaijan wants to raise the ratio of renewable energy sources in installed power capacity from 16.5% to 30%. Azerbaijan will be able to establish a sustainable energy balance and export the attained gas volumes, allowing for an extra input of foreign cash into the country's economy, by using renewable energy sources to create power.
