The report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the involvement of children in the armed forces and armed groups by Armenia was distributed as a document of the UN General Assembly and the Security Council, the Press Office of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported.

"The report prepared for exposing Armenia's actions against international law once again contains detailed information on the involvement of children in the armed forces and armed groups by this country and their use as a means of spreading ethnic and national hatred against Azerbaijan and our people," the Ministry added.

"In the report, based on the information, photo, and video materials obtained from open information sources, as well as the facts reflected in the reports of third parties on the issue, it is pointed out that Armenia grossly violates the provisions of several international conventions, threatens peace and security by instilling hatred on ethnic and national grounds," it said.

"In the document, it is pointed out that in the post-conflict period, Armenia continues to involve children in military training, to instill hatred and enmity in them and to prepare for a new war with Azerbaijan. That this is a gross violation of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD), along with children's rights and international humanitarian law, especially individuals and organizations operating in Armenia's territory and targeting Azerbaijanis from the International Court of Justice dated December 7, 2021, It was emphasized that it is a clear example of his failure to comply with his obligation arising from the decision on temporary measures prohibiting him from inciting racial hatred," the information said.

"The document appealed to the UN and its specialized institutions and relevant mandate holders to bring Armenia to international legal responsibility for international criminal acts and to ensure that this country's illegal involvement of children in armed forces and armed groups and the use of them are stopped," the Ministry concluded.
