
Azerbaijani Soldier Allegedly Killed by Fire from Armenian Side

The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry reported that on September 30 at noon [local time], the Armenian armed forces opened fire with sniper rifles from the positions in the direction of Kut settlement of Gegharkunik region on the positions of the Azerbaijani army stationed in the direction of Ashaghi Ayrim settlement of Kalbajar region.
As a result of the sniper fire, the Azerbaijani soldier Orujov Vusal Kheybali was killed.
On the same day, the Ministry of Defence of Armenia stated that the statement issued by the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan, according to which units of the Armenian Armed Forces had opened fire on the Azerbaijani positions in the eastern part of the border at noon on September 30, resulting in the death of an Azerbaijani serviceman, does not correspond to reality.
