Chechen Government Reports to Kadyrov About 2023 Successes

At an enlarged meeting with the head of state, Ramzan Kadyrov, on December 30, the year's results were summarized in Chechnya.

Chairman of the Chechen Government, Muslim Khuchiev, stated in his report that 2023 was completed with good indicators of socio-economic development. "Dynamics is observed practically in all key areas," he said. At the end of the year, the volume of shipped goods and industrial production grew by 24% and 28%, respectively. Housing commissioning amounted to more than 2 million square meters, 10.6% more than in 2022.

"In addition, the population increased. Compared to last year, the population increased by 19 thousand people and amounted to 1 million 549 thousand. The growth rate is 101.2%. A new town of Achkhoi-Martan has been established, and work is underway to transform the village of Oiskhara into a town," he noted.

According to the results of the National Rating of the Investment Climate, the region ranked first in the North Caucasian Federal District and sixth among the subjects of Russia. The total volume of investments in fixed assets for nine months of the outgoing year amounted to 113.9 billion rubles, 19.7% more compared to 2022. The realization of 164 investment projects in the region allowed to create 957 new jobs.

Khuchiev said, "It was possible to achieve good indicators on wages: for ten months, it increased by 11.2% and amounted to 36.6 thousand rubles. Next year, salaries of teachers, doctors, social security workers, culture and science will be indexed."

"The Chechen authorities have succeeded in eliminating the three-shift mode of education in schools and organizing one hundred percent provision of preschool education for children up to 7 years of age," he emphasized.
