
Donald Trump Applauds Azerbaijan's Support for Israel in Letter to Aliyev

On April 10, Donald Trump, President of the United States, sent a congratulatory letter to Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, highlighting continued cooperation, Azerbaijan’s ties with Israel, and regional peace efforts with Armenia on the occasion of the Nowruz holiday.
In the letter, Trump extended his best wishes to Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people for Nowruz, describing it as a celebration of "peace, prosperity, and renewal for all."
President Trump emphasized the longstanding partnership between the United States and Azerbaijan and expressed optimism about the future of bilateral relations. He stated, "Our countries have a long history of working together, and I look forward to the great things we can accomplish in the years to come."
He acknowledged Baku’s friendly stance toward Israel and commended the ongoing efforts between Azerbaijan and Armenia to promote peace in the region. Trump noted, "I appreciate Azerbaijan's support and friendship for our partner Israel and applaud the steps you and Armenia are taking to bring peace to the region."
Concluding his message, Trump reiterated Washington’s support for Azerbaijan, stating, “The United States remains a steadfast supporter of Azerbaijan's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.”
