On November 21, Paweł Herczyński, the European Union Ambassador to Georgia, said the bloc was looking forward to improving conditions for doing business in Georgia.

"The Business Climate Index for Georgia is released yearly by the European Business Association. We genuinely anticipate better business environment circumstances in the nation. All of this is about bringing Georgia closer to the European Union, boosting prosperity, and establishing the framework for both European and Georgian businesses to invest in each other," Herczyński stated.

Herczyński said meetings between Georgian and EU companies were very important to ensure the business climate in Georgia was conducive to the activities of EU-based companies. "This is a very important meeting, and I am proud that the EU is a part of it with direct financial support and the help of the European Investment Bank, which helped us organize the annual event," the diplomat said.

Moreover, the official expressed his optimism that the bloc's member states will support the European Commission's recommendation and will positively decide to award Georgia membership candidate status next month. "I sincerely hope that our member states will share the advice of the European Commission and make a positive decision regarding the granting of candidate status to Georgia," Herczyński said. The ambassador emphasized that the country's election process needs to be as free and transparent as possible for the 2024 legislative elections.
