Ingushetia Steps Up "Stability Measures" in Wake of Dagestan's Anti-Jewish Unrest

On November 1, Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov, Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov, the head of the Federal Republic of Ingushetia, said that maintaining stability in Ingushetia was discussed at a meeting of the Anti-Terrorism Committee.

According to him, all residents of the [federal] republic are worried about the situation in Palestine. "And we, like Muslims around the world, strongly condemn what is happening there today; it violates all human norms and can lead to a humanitarian catastrophe," Kalimatov noted. "Today at the Anti-Terrorism Committee meeting, we discussed issues of maintaining stability in our region. After the events in the neighboring region, Dagestan, I consider it necessary to strengthen preventive work as part of anti-terrorist measures. I also think it is important to involve public organizations, clergy, experts, political scientists, and representatives of law enforcement and security agencies in this work. Their professional competence can become a convincing argument in outreach work among young people," the head of Ingushetia said.

According to him, the consciousness of young people is now easy to manipulate; they are drawn into dangerous topics, the consequences of which they do not have a complete understanding of. "We need to save them from this mistaken step, and for this, we need to work with them and educate them," called Kalimatov. "We must focus on the position and actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He outlined it straightforwardly in the very first days of the events in the Gaza Strip, supporting the right of Palestine to become an independent state. There should be no discrepancies regarding the current situation. Our president believes that Palestine can be helped only in the fight against those who are behind this tragedy and emphasizes that Russia is already fighting them as part of a special military operation. The same understanding of the situation should develop among young people, among the population as a whole," the head of Ingushetia emphasized.
