| News, Politics, Georgia

At the opening of a new project - Army Camp, on July 3, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili stated that the importance of the army in the development of Georgian society is significant.

The official emphasized that promoting 'correct values' and family values should start from kindergartens and schools.

"The importance of the army and, in general, the role of our army in the development of our society is very great. I believe that it is necessary to involve our young people from the school stage, and not only that, we should also include relevant education in kindergartens. We should provide more information to raise awareness among young people. This will help increase interest in the army. They will personally meet our heroic soldiers, who will tell them about the heroic deeds of our army, not only the heroic deeds committed in the past but also the present. Apart from this, I believe this camp will help promote the right values among the youth. In today's world, Georgia is a part of globalization, and there are many temptations for our young people. Therefore, young people need to determine the right orientation from the beginning. In this process, our state's role is very important," Gharibashvili stated.

The PM said, "In addition, I believe that promoting a healthy lifestyle, promoting correct values, and family values should start from kindergartens and schools. We have introduced military education 'Defense and Security' in schools, which I believe is a correct decision. I know from many students that interest is growing. We have to step by step introduce this element in all schools; it is necessary to introduce this element in kindergartens as well", said the Prime Minister."

Irakli Gharibashvili mentioned that increasing the patriotic spirit among the youth is important. "It is important that we raise the patriotic spirit in our youth. More information is needed. We must show the difference to our young people. I believe that in general, not only the role of the family, but also the role of the Ministry of Education, the army, and the church in raising you and determining the right orientations, is very important," the prime minister said.
