On March 8, parliament discussions took place to strengthen cooperation between Israel, the United States, and Azerbaijan regarding the establishment of a trilateral strategic alliance, with discussions in the Knesset focusing on Azerbaijan’s inclusion in the Abraham Accords and the modernization of its strategic partnership with Israel.

Israeli Knesset members emphasized that Azerbaijan has long played a crucial role in Israel’s regional security architecture but continues to face U.S. sanctions under Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act.

Simon Moshiashvili, a member of Israel’s far-right Torah Defenders Party (Shas), stated,
"Azerbaijan is a historical friend of Israel. The Azerbaijani people have always had great sympathy for the Jewish people."

He called for the repeal of Section 907, the establishment of a trilateral cooperation format with the U.S. and Israel, and Azerbaijan’s inclusion in the Abraham Accords. Additionally, he stressed the need to strengthen Azerbaijan’s borders with Iran and provide further support to Baku.

On March 7, The Jerusalem Post reported that Israel is interested in deepening its strategic partnership with Azerbaijan, quoting the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, which highlighted Azerbaijan as a key ally in the Caucasus with cooperation spanning security, trade, technology, and energy.

The publication noted that these discussions followed a Knesset session titled "Strengthening the Strategic Alliance Between Israel and Azerbaijan."
