Mikheil Saakashvili's Health in Critical Phase

On February 1, while participating in the trial, Mikheil Saakashvili, the third president of Georgia, said, "If I do not live to see the victory of Ukraine, which is very close, my heart must be buried in Kyiv. It belongs to Ukraine."
He made the announcement in the Ukrainian language and noted that he was confident in the victory of the Ukrainians. "I am being tortured, and I was poisoned. I am proud that everyone admires the Ukrainian people, I am proud that the president is Zelenskyy, I am grateful to his office. I am absolutely sure of our victory," Saakashvili added.
On the same day, Tengiz Tsuladze, a member of the medical council set up by the Georgian Public Defender, stated that if the patient's [Mikheil Saakashvili] weight loss continues and it drops below 52 kilograms, he will die.
According to him, Saakashvili's weight loss at such a rate is very bad. "When we saw this index, it was 20 or 21," Tengiz Tsuladze added. In addition, Tsuladze answered the lawyer's question about whether he would assess Saakashvili's condition as severe and noted that where there is a mention of cachexia, the situation is serious.
Notably, Mikheil Saakashvili appeared in court via video link to show how much weight he has lost while incarcerated, as associates renewed calls for him to be freed for urgent medical treatment.
