Mobilization Continues in North Caucasus
A mobilization point is to be opened on the border with Georgia in North Ossetia
At the Upper Lars border checkpoint on the border with Georgia, a mobilization point of the military registration and enlistment office will be deployed soon, the Ministry of Internal Affairs for North Ossetia reported.
Police Lieutenant-General Andrey Sergeev, the Minister of Internal Affairs for North Ossetia-Alania, held an off-site meeting at the Upper Lars checkpoint, where a queue of evaders from the partial mobilization announced in Russia has accumulated. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the situation at the checkpoint remains extremely tense, requiring additional measures to organize citizens' security. In addition, a pedestrian crossing of the border will be allowed on Upper Lars.
The number of trucks and cars waiting to pass through the border with Georgia in North Ossetia has grown to 5.5 thousand. At the same time, all mobilized personnel will be able to go on vacation. The unit commanders will determine its schedule and sequence. The term of service for mobilization will be considered when calculating the pension. Representatives of the military registration and enlistment offices explain that citizens called up for service during partial mobilization will be provided with all the necessary equipment. They will be provided with all kinds of allowances and the necessary uniforms and equipment. Mobilized people cannot carry smartphones; only a push-button telephone is allowed, which will be kept by the commander in a safe and issued according to the schedule.
Adygea fulfilled the mobilization plan
On September 28, Alexander Averin, the Military Commissar of the federal republic, said that Adygea fulfilled the task of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for partial mobilization. According to him, three teams have been formed.
The draft campaign affected 1.1% of those registered with the region's military registration and enlistment offices. Mobilized residents of Adygea are being trained at training grounds by military units in the federal republic. "One team—a material support brigade—drivers who, according to the combat training plan, do not undergo combat coordination because they go to the teams of the supply center—are already leaving today to complete tasks in the NVO areas," Averin said.
According to the reports of the military commissars of municipal formations, there are no facts of evasion of mobilization measures in Adygea. About 50 citizens were recommended to undergo an additional medical examination during mobilization activities.
At the entrances to North Ossetia, a summons is handed to all those subject to mobilization
On September 28, Sergey Menyaylo, the head of North Ossetia, signed a decree on introducing a high alert regime on the territory of North Ossetia - in the Ardon, Kirovsky, and Prigorodny districts, as well as in Vladikavkaz.
The decree restricts the entry of passenger vehicles into the republic's territory. This measure will not apply to North Ossetia, South Ossetia/Tskhinvali Region, and Georgia residents. Also, the restriction does not apply to those who travel to Ossetia on vacation and have the necessary documents.
"The decision to introduce a high alert regime is a forced temporary measure: we cannot let the situation go unchecked. There is a huge number of transit vehicles and many kilometers of queues at the Upper Lars checkpoint. In the last two days alone, more than 20,000 people have entered Georgia through our border section! We will not be physically able to ensure order and security if this flow continues to grow," Menyaylo said. He instructed them to organize heating, food, medical care, and sanitary cleaning for transit workers. "Among those who are now in the territory of North Ossetia, there are women and children," he noted.
The first groups of mobilized people fly from North Ossetia to the "special military operation" zone
On September 28, the first groups of mobilized citizens from North Ossetia took off from the Beslan airport. Three special aircraft arrived to dispatch the mobilized. Sergey Menyaylo came to admonish those called upon.
"You are worthy heirs of your ancestors! We will meet very soon. I will be there soon. The main thing is to come back with a victory!" the head of North Ossetia addressed the fighters. Menyaylo promised the mothers of those called that they would be provided with everything they needed.
Earlier, Menyaylo said where the mobilized in North Ossetia would be sent two battalions for the 429th regiment and the resupplying of the 19th motorized rifle division.
