North Caucasus Regions Record Increase in Young Workers
According to the results of FinExpertiza for 2022, the number of workers under 30 increased in the Chechen Federal Republic. The growth of this indicator is also recorded in Karachay-Cherkessia and Dagestan. The number of workers under 30 in Chechnya increased by 6.9%, and in Karachay-Cherkessia (KBR), the number of young specialists increased by 7.2%. In Dagestan, the growth of the indicator was 2.7%. In addition, these regions were among the leaders of Russia by the largest share of employees under 30 years old. The Chechen Republic took first place in the ranking with an indicator of 26.4%, Dagestan – the second place with a share of young specialists of 21.1%.
In Russia, the growth of working youth under 30 was recorded in 11 regions during this period. One of the regions of the North Caucasus-Kabardino-Balkaria-was among the country's subjects with the greatest reduction in the number of young specialists. In 2022, the number of workers under 30 years in the CBD decreased by 14.3%. According to this indicator, the KBR took seventh place among the regions of the Russian Federation.
Overall, in Russia, the number of employees in 30 years decreased by 802 thousand or by 6.9% to 10.8 million people, which is 14.9% of all employed. "Over the past ten years, the number of workers up to 30 years has decreased by 5.9 million people, or by 35.6%. Now a certain increase in the share of young ages among employees can be expected only in the second half of the 2020s, as the more numerous generations of zero years enter the market," Finexpertiza added.
