On August 4, Nikol Pashinyan, the Prime Minister of Armenia, held a telephone conversation with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan, during which the sides discussed bilateral relations and prospects for expanding cooperation.

Tokayev congratulated Pashinyan on his reappointment as Prime Minister and wished him success in his efforts for the benefit of Armenia and the Armenian people. Pashinyan thanked the Kazakh leader for the congratulations and also expressed appreciation for awarding him Kazakhstan’s highest state honor during his official visit to the country.

Pashinyan emphasized the importance of continuing the consistent development of Armenia-Kazakhstan relations and highlighted the need to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries. He also wished Tokayev success in the Kurultai elections scheduled for August 23, noting the strategic importance of Kazakhstan’s domestic and foreign policy course.

During the conversation, Pashinyan invited Tokayev to visit Armenia, and the President of Kazakhstan accepted the invitation. The two leaders also exchanged views on the current agenda of Armenia-Kazakhstan relations and discussed opportunities for further development of bilateral cooperation.
