On September 4, Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, awarded the military rank of lieutenant general to Magomed Daudov, the Chairman of the Government of Chechnya. Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen Federal Republic, commented on the decree through his Telegram channel, calling it a "recognition of his many years of dedicated and purposeful service for the good of the Motherland."

Kadyrov emphasized that Daudov had followed the precepts of the first President of the Chechen Republic, Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, and proved himself during the fight against international terrorism as a "courageous, decisive and exceptionally brave defender of the Motherland," contributing significantly to the security of both the region and Russia. Kadyrov also described Daudov as a close friend and loyal comrade, recalling how in difficult times Daudov lifted the burden of a blood feud from his shoulders. He noted that Daudov personally led an assault group that ambushed and eliminated a dangerous criminal, calling this act "a real brotherly feat" that solidified their friendship.

"Under Daudov’s leadership," Kadyrov stated, "social and economic projects aimed at infrastructure development, economic strengthening, and improving the quality of life in Chechnya are being implemented." He added that Daudov’s "integrity, exactingness towards himself and his colleagues, as well as the ability to quickly resolve the most complex issues" enabled him to achieve results in various areas. Kadyrov also highlighted Daudov’s role as the head of the republican operational headquarters for conducting the Special Military Operation (SVO), stressing his round-the-clock work to supply fighters with necessary resources and his organizational skills. "Awarding the rank of lieutenant general to Magomed Khozhakhmedovich is a fair assessment of his work, courage, and devotion to the Motherland," Kadyrov stated.
