Armenian Economy Minister on the reforms of investment environment
During the discussion of the road map for the implementation of the investment reform program, Vahan Kerobyan, the Armenian Economy Minister, said that the government is striving to change the architecture of the economy in order to move from a consumption-based economic growth model to a model where economic growth is based on investment growth. According to the Minister, this is possible with the help of consistent reforms in the field of investment.
"We periodically receive signals that the investment environment in Armenia is improving, that it is promising, and that foreign investors are showing interest in Armenia. Nevertheless, in the external environment in which our country is located, consistent reforms of the investment environment are a necessity," Kerobyan said.
In this context, the Minister cited the catchphrase of Lewis Carroll: "To stand still, you need to run."
