Armenian MP: "Nikol fulfills another demand of Aliyev"

Andranik Tevanyan, political scientist and MP of the National Assembly from the Armenia faction, writes on his Facebook page: "The fact that many generals do not even reach the level of sergeants is clear to everyone. The fact that Nikol Pashinyan will still not be able to clear himself of the status of the main culprit and be responsible for the war and defeat is also understandable. However, the problem here is different. The arrests of the military and the discrediting of the army pursue a deeper and anti-state goal."

He said, "As you know, Aliyev demands that we demilitarize Nagorno-Karabakh and not restore the Armenian army. The other day, he was informed from Yerevan that there were no more servicemen from Armenia in Karabakh. Now it is the turn of the destruction of the Karabakh Defense Army, which is being implemented by discrediting the army elite and spreading an atmosphere of fear within it."

MP said that the task was set to disarm Karabakh and expel the local Armenians, around which Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev came to a strategic agreement.

Robert Kocharyan: "We must do everything possible and impossible to protect the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh"

Robert Kocharyan, the Second President of Armenia, sent a message on the Independence Day of the Republic of separatist Nagorno-Karabakh:

"Dear people of Karabakh, I congratulate you on the Independence Day of the [de-facto] Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh. The Armenians of Karabakh have proven many times that even in seemingly hopeless situations, they can rally forces, concentrate and achieve historic victories. Everything possible and impossible must be done to protect the independence of Karabakh," he stated.

Security Council of Armenia: "Biological Threat Reduction Program that brings Armenia and the United States together has nothing to do with biological weapons"

According to a statement released by the Security Council of Armenia, the Biological Threat Reduction Program, which brings Armenia and the United States together, has nothing to do with biological weapons.

"Strong national capacity for infectious disease surveillance, diagnosis, and response have been highlighted by the Covid-19 epidemic. Building these capacities requires significant international collaboration and help," the statement said. "Through the Biological Threat Reduction Program, a component of the US Department of Defense Cooperative Threat Reduction Program, our governments have collaborated freely and transparently. These alliances only focus on peaceful goals; they have nothing to do with arms."

According to the Security Council, these collaborations improve laboratory biosafety and biosecurity while preventing, detecting, and controlling infectious disease outbreaks to safeguard human and animal health. 

"As partners in this project, each of us recognizes firsthand the importance of the common goal of cooperation to strengthen global health security and reduce the impact of infectious diseases on our societies," the statement said.

Serzh Sargsyan: "Today is no longer the day of traditional congratulations, festive fireworks in Karabakh, and national joy" 

Serzh Sargsyan, the third President of Armenia, sent a message on the Independence Day of the Republic of separatist Nagorno-Karabakh:

 "Today is no longer the day of traditional congratulations, festive fireworks in Nagorno-Karabakh, and nationwide joy, as it was years ago since independence is in danger, Karabakh received a heavy, treacherous blow in the back, and a significant part of the victorious, preserved and cherished by the efforts of the world Armenians for three decades, a free and worthy living and developing Republic surrendered to the enemy," he said.

"And while decisions are made, negotiated, and represented on behalf of the entire people and behind the backs of the same people in Armenia and Karabakh by false peace-lovers who open the doors of the house to the enemy with a broad smile, the dangers for Karabakh and for Armenia, which was once the guarantor of its security, grow day by day to increasingly disturbing proportions," Sargsyan added.

"Only the speedy removal of managers who are destroying the state and destroying the nation can make it possible to lead the country out of this catastrophic situation, conduct worthwhile negotiations, and establish relations with partners. Failure to understand this simple truth can be disastrous for the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh and the Republic of Armenia," the third President of Armenia stated.
