Remittances from Azerbaijan to Georgia Decrease by 3% in First Half of 2024
In the first half of 2024, remittances from individuals in Azerbaijan to Georgia totaled $25.13 million, representing a 3% decrease compared to the same period in 2023, when remittances reached $25.91 million. According to data from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the share of remittances sent to Georgia accounted for 9.7% of Azerbaijan’s total outbound remittances.
In 2023, the total remittances from Azerbaijan to Georgia amounted to $58.849 million, while the overall volume of remittances from Azerbaijan to foreign countries reached $550.126 million.
