Russian State Duma Chairman: Zelenskyy's Fate Mirrors Jailed Georgian President Saakashvili

On August 8, Vyacheslav Volodin, the chairman of the Russian State Duma, stated that the fate of the puppets of the United States and Europe always ends the same, so Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will face the same fate as the jailed former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.

Volodin recalled that on August 8, 2008, Saakashvili ordered a treacherous attack on South Ossetia. Russia then protected civilians. "From the very beginning of his reign, Saakashvili's regime was emphatically Russophobic. He was supported by the EU and NATO, financed, supplied with weapons, and trained the military. The same thing happened later in Ukraine," the official pointed out.

He added that Saakashvili, having turned out to be unnecessary to the West, was convicted in his homeland: he was deported from Ukraine, depriving him of citizenship. "Now he is serving a sentence for crimes committed in the presidency of Georgia," Volodin noted. According to him, history repeats itself, but now with Zelenskyy. "The West is already tired of him and the insatiable Kyiv regime. His ingratitude became the dominant feature of European politics. This is openly declared at the official level in Britain and even in Poland. The fate of the puppets of Washington and Brussels always ends the same way - they get rid of them. Zelensky is next," the Speaker of the State Duma noted.

Volodin emphasized, "Saakashvili was remembered only for chewing his tie; he is an outcast imprisoned in prison. The same thing awaits Zelenskyy."

Medvedev: Russia to Achieve Peace on Its Terms, Just as in 2008

On August 8, Deputy Head of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said that, as in 2008, Russia would win the conflict in Ukraine on its terms.

"Exactly 15 years ago, Russia resolutely responded to the dastardly attack on Tskhinvali and gave a tough rebuff to the aggressor. The collective West stood behind the half-wit, Saakashvili, that even then sought to stir up the situation near Russia's borders. Our Armed Forces quickly and severely punished the brazen nationalists in five days. We protected our people who lived in Abkhazia and South Ossetia from the enemy. They allowed the new states to develop with the support of Russia," Medvedev recalled.

In his opinion, the United States and its 'vassals' did not have enough experience. "Today, they are again waging a criminal war with the wrong hands, trying to wipe Russia off the face of the earth. The entire NATO system is practically openly fighting against us. We have enough forces to solve all the tasks of a special military operation. As in August 2008, our enemies will be crushed, and Russia will achieve peace on its terms," Medvedev said.
