Tensions Grow Along Armenia-Azerbaijan Border
On March 6, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that from 15:00 [local time] on March 5 to 03:10 on March 6, Azerbaijan Army positions were fired upon 19 times.

On the same day, the Ministry informed that according to the combat training plan for 2023, approved by the Azerbaijan Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, live-fire training classes are being held to improve further the practical skills of infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) crews.
"In the classes held on combined-arms range, the IFV crews performed practical exercises on driving and shooting. Overcoming natural and artificial obstacles in difficult terrain, the tasks of driving combat vehicles, as well as shooting from armored vehicles in motion and motionless states, were successfully accomplished," the report added.
On March 6, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan had spread disinformation, claiming that units of the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire towards the Azerbaijani combat positions located in the Eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border zone overnight on March 5 and 6.
Russian and Armenian Forces Complete Joint Airspace Training in Armenia
On March 6, the pilots of the Russian air base in Armenia, the anti-aircraft units of the air defense of the 102nd military base of the Southern Military District (SMD), and the military personnel of Armenia completed training tasks for the joint protection of airspace.
"During the training sessions, actions were worked out to detect and intercept conditional air targets simulating violators of the airspace. The military personnel of the air defense units worked out actions while on combat duty to protect the airspace," the message stated.
Training flights of shifts on duty were carried out at altitudes ranging from 50 to 6 thousand meters at various speeds with the identification systems turned off. Particular attention was paid during the training to cover the airlines and units located in the deployment area for the formation of the Southern Military District.
