Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister: "Restoration of Azerbaijan’s Territorial Integrity Can Serve as an Example for Ukraine"

On April 30, Oleksandr Mishchenko, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister, stated that the restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity could serve as an example for Ukraine in the future.
Mishchenko extended congratulations to Azerbaijan for what he described as the restoration of the country’s territorial integrity, calling it “the greatest achievement, a holiday for the Azerbaijani people” and highlighting it as an example for Ukraine amid its own territorial challenges.
During his remarks, Mishchenko praised the current development of Ukrainian-Azerbaijani relations and expressed gratitude for Baku’s humanitarian aid, particularly in rebuilding energy facilities and infrastructure and supporting Ukrainian children affected by the war. “I recently made a working visit to Azerbaijan. We held consultations at the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Economy, and Energy, as well as the State Oil Company. We discussed various projects. We highly appreciate the assistance provided by Azerbaijan, especially in the restoration of energy facilities, Ukraine’s destroyed infrastructure, and the rehabilitation of children. This is significant support,” he stated.
Mishchenko emphasized that these initiatives are carried out on the personal instruction of President Ilham Aliyev, adding, “This is a matter of pride for us: the president highly values the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Azerbaijan.”
