U.S. doubles funding for TRIPP+ Enterprise Fund to USD 402 million

The United States has doubled the funding allocated to the TRIPP+ Enterprise Fund, increasing its grant from USD 201 million to USD 402 million, according to data published by the U.S. government grant-tracking platform.

The additional funding follows an amendment made on 16 July, while the implementation period remains unchanged through 31 December 2036. According to openly available data, Armenia is expected to be the primary beneficiary of the programme.

The TRIPP+ Enterprise Fund was established in January 2026 to support private-sector development across the South Caucasus and Central Asia through loans, equity investments, and grants. The fund is authorized to operate in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan under the oversight of the U.S. government.

The fund is separate from the TRIPP Development Company, which was announced following the January meeting between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. While the development company is intended to oversee the implementation of infrastructure projects along the proposed TRIPP corridor through southern Armenia, the TRIPP+ Enterprise Fund serves as the project's financial investment mechanism.

The funding increase represents a significant expansion of U.S. financial support for regional private sector development and connectivity initiatives, with Armenia expected to remain the principal focus of the programme.
