Volodymyr Zelenskyy: “We expect more support from Azerbaijan”

| News, Azerbaijan

According to Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Azerbaijan is providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine and is taking a neutral position in Russia's war against his country.

"Turkey shows that it wants to be a leader among the countries that mediate in negotiations with Russia. Turkey has openly stated that it wants to be among the countries that guarantee Ukraine's security. I have not heard this from Azerbaijan so far, but I want to say that President Aliyev has always supported Ukraine. There was humanitarian aid, medical aid. I think that today it is difficult for Azerbaijan to help Ukraine with weapons. This is understandable, because they have the Nagorno-Karabakh problem. Azerbaijan is one of the few countries that we understand its position and neutrality, because there could be another war. But in any case, we expect more," Zelenskyy stated.

Continuing the theme of the war, he noted that Russia has not shown such military brutality in wars on the territory of other countries. This has not happened in any war in recent decades.

"The mission to stop all this has fallen on Ukraine at the expense of the lives of Ukrainians. That is why your countries should help us more. Because there is a saying: "They will finish with us and stick to you," Zelenskyy concluded.
