Armenian Mobile Hospital Participates in "Joint Solution-2025" Military Exercise in Germany
On February 3, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that the Ministry of Military Medical Assurance field mobile hospital is participating in the multinational military exercise "Joint Solution-2025" at the US military base in Hohenfels, Germany, as part of Armenia-US bilateral cooperation.
The medical staff from the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, alongside their US National Guard colleagues, work together in various groups to sort the wounded, provide immediate medical care, conduct surgical procedures, and organize evacuations for further medical treatment under complex conditions.
The exercise's main goals are to enhance hospital staff training, improve their professional skills in managing real-life, complex scenarios, and strengthen inter-organizational cooperation in medical care within a multinational setting.
Armenia’s Defense Minister Suren Papikyan Meets Italian Ambassador Alessandro Ferranti
On February 3, Suren Papikyan, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, received Alessandro Ferranti, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Armenia.
Minister Papikyan congratulated Ambassador Ferranti on his appointment and wished him success in strengthening cooperation between Armenia and Italy. During the meeting, both sides discussed the current status and future prospects of bilateral defense cooperation, as well as issues related to regional and international security.
Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan Discuss Military Cooperation and Regional Security
On February 3, a delegation led by Agil Gurbanov, the Deputy Minister of Defense and Director General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the visit, Gurbanov met with Colonel General Ruslan Zhaksylykov, the Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan. Both sides emphasized that military cooperation between the two nations is based on friendly and fraternal ties rooted in their shared historical heritage.
The discussions focused on the current state and future prospects of cooperation in military, military-technical, and military-educational fields. Additionally, regional security issues were thoroughly discussed. Gurbanov's delegation also met with Major General Shaikh-Hasan Zhazykbaev, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan, highlighting the importance of such meetings in advancing military cooperation. The parties agreed that joint exercises play a key role in enhancing the professionalism of military personnel and strengthening the capabilities of both armed forces.
Azerbaijan Naval Forces Participate in AMAN-25 Multinational Exercise in Pakistan
On February 8, the Azerbaijan Naval Forces representatives participated in the AMAN-25 multinational exercise and the Aman Dialogue in Karachi, Pakistan.
During the Aman Dialogue, First Deputy Commander of the Naval Forces and Chief of Staff, 1st Grade Captain Teymur Murshudov represented Azerbaijan. The event brought together naval forces commanders, chiefs of staff, coast guard commanders, and other senior officials from around the world to discuss regional maritime security and develop strategies to address evolving challenges at sea.
The AMAN-25 exercise includes both port and sea phases and involves six personnel from Azerbaijan's underwater offense and defense teams. These groups are assigned specific tasks as part of the exercise’s plan. Under the motto "Together for Peace," the exercise features ships, aircraft, special forces, explosives disposal teams, marines, and observers from 60 countries.
The AMAN-25 multinational exercise, which aims to promote peace, security, and collaborative efforts to combat maritime terrorism, will continue until February 11.
Georgia
Georgian Minister of Defense Discusses Support for Injured Servicemen at Charity Event
On February 6, Irakli Chikovani, the Minister of Defense of Georgia, participated in the annual event of the Wounded Soldiers’ Solidarity Fund, where he discussed the support provided to injured servicemen by the Ministry of Defense and the Fund, urging the public to contribute to the cause.
Chikovani highlighted the resilience of wounded soldiers, calling them "invincible" and an inspiration to new generations joining the Georgian Defense Forces. The Wounded Soldiers' Solidarity Fund, which has been patronized by Silknet since 2018, focuses on assisting military personnel and veterans wounded in combat or international missions. In collaboration with the Ministry of Defense, the Fund offers medical services, research, prosthetics, education, and professional retraining for wounded warriors.
The charity event also featured speeches from Giorgi Ramishvili, Chairman of the Silknet Supervisory Board; David Mamulaishvili, Director General of the Fund; NATO Military Liaison Officer Colonel Berat Teli; and Major General Koba Kobaladze, Director of the State Service for Veterans Affairs. During the event, Deputy Minister of Defense Gela Geladze and Mamulaishvili signed a memorandum of understanding to further support wounded servicemen and their families through mutual cooperation and co-financing. The event was attended by high-ranking officials, including Deputy Ministers of Defense, Major General Giorgi Matiashvili, and various representatives from the diplomatic corps, business, and the public sector.
