Armenian Defense Delegation Engages in Military-Technical Talks at Prague’s “Future Forces Forum 2024”

On October 21, at the invitation of the Czech Ministry of Defense, a delegation from Armenia's Ministry of Defense, led by Deputy Minister Karen Brutyan, participated in the "Future Forces Forum 2024" international exhibition held in Prague from October 15 to 18.

During the event, the Armenian delegation held official meetings with Radka Konderlova, Director General of the Czech Industrial Cooperation Agency, and representatives from Czech defense companies. Discussions focused on Armenia-Czech Republic military-technical cooperation, resulting in several agreements.

Additional meetings were held with representatives from other partner countries' defense industries participating in the event.

Armenia and Georgia Discuss Regional Security and Defense Cooperation

On October 23, Armenian Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan met with Giorgi Sharvashidze, Georgia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, to mark the appointment of Georgia's new military attaché to Armenia.

Minister Papikyan welcomed the attendees, congratulated newly appointed attaché Lieutenant Colonel Teimuraz Maisuradze, and wished him success in advancing cooperation between the two nations' defense institutions.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current and future defense cooperation and exchanged views on regional security and international developments.

Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan Sign Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for 2025

On October 22, at the invitation of Kyrgyz Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Baktybek Bekbolotov, Azerbaijan's Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov arrived in Kyrgyzstan for an official visit.

On October 23, Minister Hasanov met with Lieutenant General Bekbolotov at the Kyrgyz Ministry of Defense, where a formal welcoming ceremony was held. 

The ministers discussed prospects for enhancing military, technical, and educational cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan and exchanged views on regional security and mutual interests. The meeting concluded with the signing of a 2025 Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan.

Azerbaijani Defense Officials Attend SAHA EXPO 2024 in Türkiye

On October 22, Azerbaijani Deputy Ministers of Defense, including Director General Agil Gurbanov, Land Forces Commander Lieutenant General Hikmat Mirzayev, and Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Namig Islamzade, began a working visit to Türkiye to participate in the SAHA EXPO 2024 International Defence & Aerospace Exhibition.

At the opening ceremony in Istanbul, the Azerbaijani delegation joined Türkiye's Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler and other officials. The delegation reviewed booths by "Azersilah” Defence Industry Holding, a joint-stock company under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense Industry, and other exhibits showcasing advanced military equipment.

As part of the visit, Azerbaijani officials held meetings with Türkiye's Minister of National Defense, Yaşar Güler, and Haluk Görgün, President of the Secretariat of Defense Industries. Discussions centered on strengthening Azerbaijani-Turkish military relations and explored further collaboration in military, technical, and educational fields.

Local Exercise

On October 25, training flights were conducted with helicopter units of Azerbaijan's Air Force. After crew briefings, pilots' knowledge of training conditions and safety protocols was evaluated.

Following control inspections of the helicopters, pilots performed flights from base airfields along designated routes, executing takeoffs and landings, aerial reconnaissance, target identification, communication with command headquarters, and other exercises.

The pilots demonstrated high professionalism throughout, with the training aimed at enhancing combat readiness and practical skills.

Georgia

The Georgian side has not published any significant updates during this period.
