“Those sitting in the Ukrainian Rada have completely lost touch with reality,” said the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, commenting on the information that the Rada will consider a law recognizing Ichkeria. Kadyrov called the Ukrainian parliamentarians slow thinkers.

"Whatever you say, representatives of state bodies of Ukraine know how to amuse the public. Solid comedians and clowns. Indeed, as one Ukrainian character said, not everyone in Kyiv today can look into tomorrow, or rather, not only everyone can look, few can do it," said the head of Chechnya. He reminded those wandering in time that Ichkeria does not even exist on paper.

He threw a couple more ideas to Ukrainian lawmakers: “You can, for example, debate in the Rada about recognizing Pluto as a planet or raise an essential question about whether the three elephants and the turtle on which the earth stands are hungry.”

“So, gentlemen, from the Rada,” Kadyrov turned, “to the deputies, you remembered the status of Ichkeria too late, 30 years late.” 

"You cannot accept something that does not exist. But keep entertaining us. I ask only one thing - let some famous Ukrainian former boxers defend the project. This would be the hilarious cherry on the cake!" Kadyrov concluded.

The Chechen Republic of Ichkeria is an unrecognized separatist state entity (1991-2000), created after the collapse of the USSR on the part of the territory of the former Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and liquidated by federal troops during the second Chechen campaign. The authorities of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria should not be confused with the organization "Congress of the Peoples of Ichkeria and Dagestan," banned and recognized as a terrorist group by the Russian court.
