94% of Armenians Reject Nagorno-Karabakh's Existence as a Minority in Azerbaijan: Gallup Survey
A survey conducted by Gallup International Armenia revealed that the vast majority of Armenian citizens (94.4%) consider it impossible for the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh to exist as a national minority within Azerbaijan.
Only 1.1% of respondents unequivocally believe that the existence of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh within Azerbaijan as a national minority is an acceptable option, 2.7% consider such a scenario somewhat acceptable, 5.5% consider this option rather unacceptable, and 88.9% absolutely unacceptable.
"That is, in general, 94.4% of Armenian citizens consider it impossible for the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh to exist as a national minority within Azerbaijan," said Aram Navasardyan, the head of the Armenian representative office of the Gallup International Association.
The phone survey conducted from July 27 to July 31 involved 1,100 respondents from all regions of Armenia.
