Armenian Authorities Raid Dashnaktsutyun Offices, Detain Members
On June 14, Lilit Galstyan, MP from the opposition Armenia bloc in the parliament and a member of the Dashnaktsutyun Party (ARF), stated that the ARF's offices in Vayk and Yeghegnadzor, located in Armenia's Vayots Dzor region, were being searched, and representatives of the political union were being detained.
Galstyan claimed on social media that the authorities had launched a whole arsenal of intimidation and repression of the public. She noted that searches had been conducted in the Dashnaktsutyun offices in Vayk and Yeghegnadzor since the morning. According to her, the party's governing body members in these locations were detained. She described these actions as a gross violation of the law on parties and a targeted attack against Dashnaktsutyun to hinder its activities.
The opposition politician further suggested that the regime is in a panic and will stop at nothing to hold on to power.
