During a traditional briefing on March 26, Matthew Miller, the Press Secretary of the US State Department, emphasized the United States' commitment to fostering lasting peace in its interactions with Azerbaijan and Armenia. "Every interaction of the United States with Azerbaijan and Armenia is aimed at achieving lasting peace," Miller stated in response to inquiries about the upcoming meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on April 5.

Miller underscored the objective of resolving differences between the governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan and encouraging them to work towards a lasting peace agreement.

On March 27Aykhan Hajizada, the Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, voiced concerns regarding the upcoming EU-Armenia-USA joint conference scheduled for April 5 in Brussels. Hajizada highlighted issues stemming from the transformation of the European Union Monitoring Potential (EUMP) along the Armenian side of the delimited border into the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUM) without Azerbaijan's consent, which has been viewed as exploiting the mission for anti-Azerbaijani propaganda.

Additionally, Hajizada raised objections to France's campaign to militarize Armenia, citing promises of increased military equipment and statements from Greece regarding deepening military cooperation with Armenia. The Ministry expressed concerns over plans to provide military assistance to Armenia within the framework of the European Peace Fund, emphasizing that such activities undermine efforts for peace and stability in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan criticized the lack of transparency and regional inclusion in the conference, asserting that it contradicts efforts for confidence-building and integration in the region. Hajizada warned that the EU and the US would bear responsibility for any potential destabilizing actions by Armenia.

In conclusion, the Ministry reiterated its call for all parties to refrain from actions that could negatively impact peace efforts and lead to further escalation and tension in the region, emphasizing the importance of adhering to international law and principles.
