
Chechnya and Dagestan to Receive Refugees from Palestine

On November 20, the Chechen Emergencies Ministry said that Chechnya is ready to receive 250 refugees from Palestine. They will be accommodated in the Svetlyachok children's health camp in the village of Avtury.
More than 550 people who applied for evacuation were taken out of the conflict zone in the Middle East. They are delivered to Moscow by special Ministry of Emergency Situations flights from Cairo. In total, about 900 people have applied for evacuation.
Moreover, Sergey Melikov, the head of Dagestan, said that Dagestan can accept refugees from Palestine. During the meeting on topical issues, he reminded that in the morning, the first board with humanitarian aid, which foundations and residents of Dagestan collected, went to Egypt with subsequent delivery to the Gaza Strip.
"For more than a month now, hostilities have been going on. You can see how bloody they are. The civilian population suffers to a greater extent. Today, humanitarian aid in Dagestan has been collected in such volumes that several air flights will be organized. Assistance to the people of Palestine will not be limited only to sending humanitarian cargo. If the relevant decision is taken at the level of our state, we will be ready to accommodate refugees on the territory of Dagestan. First of all, women and children," Melikov said.
The head of Dagestan also instructed the [federal] republican government to work out the issue of accommodation of refugees soon.
