
Irakli Garibashvili Meets Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Turkey

On February 23, as part of his official visit to Turkey, Irakli Garibashvili, the Prime Minister of Georgia, met with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Turkey.
Garibashvili expressed his condolences to the President of Turkey for the victims of the most recent earthquake, stressing that Georgia is standing by the friendly people of Turkey and ready to give whatever aid is needed.
They stressed the participation of Georgian rescuers in the efforts toward the elimination of the effects of the earthquake and in rescue operations, as well as the humanitarian aid offered by Georgia.
Moreover, on February 24, Prime Minister Garibashvili traveled to the city of Antakya in the Hatay Province, where the rescue teams from the Georgian Interior Ministry and other international rescue organizations are working to address the earthquake's aftermath and ongoing rescue efforts.
