
Russia Reports Increase of International Terrorist Organizations in North Caucasus

At a meeting of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAC) on October 10, Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Alexander Bortnikov stated that the activity of international terrorist organizations and growing threats in the North Caucasus is recorded in the territory of the North Caucasus in the conditions of a special military operation.
The chairman of the NAC noted that Western intelligence services do not abandon their attempts to destabilize the socio-political situation in the North Caucasus.
According to the NAC, since 2022, two crimes of terrorist orientation have been committed, and 37 crimes of terrorist orientation have been prevented in the territory of the North Caucasus Federal District, which was prepared by supporters of international terrorist organizations and persons recruited by "Ukrainian special services and neo-Nazi organizations."
