Russian Foreign Ministry: "Russia is Perplexed that Baku Supplies Generators to Kyiv"

| News, Politics, Azerbaijan

On December 15, an anonymous source from the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the transfer of transformers and generators by Azerbaijan to Ukraine as humanitarian aid caused bewilderment in Russia.

"Such a step on the part of Baku is puzzling. As part of a special military operation, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are destroying the critical infrastructure of Ukraine used by the Kyiv regime for military needs. Azerbaijani deliveries, which are unlikely to change the situation fundamentally, do not amount to humanitarian aid," the source added.

Earlier, on December 9, Caucasus Watch reported that in response to the appeals received by Ukraine, Azerbaijan sent humanitarian aid consisting of basic electrical equipment to the people of Ukraine to restore the stable supply of electricity to the affected areas due to the current situation. The truck convoy carrying the first part of 45 power transformers and 50 generators provided by "Azerenerji" OJSC departed from the territory of Gobu Energy Junction on December 10 with the participation of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan and representatives of "Azerenerji" OJSC.
