| News, Georgia

On October 10, President Salome Zourabichvili denounced Russia's bombardment of Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities. She wrote about it on Twitter and Facebook.

Zourabichvili stated: "It was an indiscriminate attack on people aimed to demolish, to inspire terror. The terrible news of the bombing of Kyiv and other cities." Salome Zourabichvili said that the Ukrainian nation's tenacity had been observed by the world.

On the same day, Russia launched its most extensive airstrikes since the war's beginning on bustling Ukrainian cities, killing people and cutting out electricity and heat. In addition to Kyiv, explosions were also reported in the western Ukrainian cities of Lviv, Ternopil, and Zhytomyr; the central cities of Dnipro and Kremenchuk; the southern city of Zaporizhzhia; and the eastern city of Kharkiv. While attempting to stop nationwide blackouts, Ukrainian officials said that at least 11 people had been killed and several more injured. They also blocked electrical exports to Europe.

Earlier, Caucasus Watch reported that Salome Zourabichvili spoke about the referendums that Russia started on September 23 to acquire four areas of Ukraine that are now under occupation and stressed the need to condemn the referendums categorically. The President emphasized, "Because we know what referendums mean when they are held in occupied territory, in situations of war, what they signify, and what they may be." President Zourabichvili emphasized that this is incredibly cynical conduct by Russia, which is unacceptable for us, the world, and civilized people.
