Serbian President Seeks Azerbaijani Support Amid Challenges

On April 16, President Aleksandar Vučić of the Republic of Serbia reached out to President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan, briefing him on the recent challenges faced by Serbia and seeking the support of the Azerbaijani people.

President Aliyev reiterated Azerbaijan's unwavering support for Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, emphasizing the enduring nature of this solidarity. During the discussion, the successful collaboration between the two nations within international forums was acknowledged.

President Aliyev invited President Vučić to attend the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which is slated to take place in Baku. President Vučić accepted the invitation.

Throughout their conversation, both leaders expressed contentment with the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Serbia, highlighting the significance of reciprocal high-level visits in further bolstering bilateral relations.

Jeyhun Bayramov holds a discussion with the counterpart

On April 15, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov engaged in a telephone conversation with Ivica Dačić, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The ministers discussed the current state and prospects of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Serbia and explored avenues for cooperation on various multilateral platforms.

Both parties underscored the significance of reciprocal high-level visits, productive collaboration within international organizations, and enhancing economic and cultural ties. Areas of cooperation highlighted encompassed energy, high technologies, transport, humanitarian affairs, education, tourism, alternative energy, and other sectors.

Minister Dačić emphasized Serbia's prioritization of strategic cooperation with Azerbaijan, underscoring the importance of mutual support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both nations.
