In recent days, skirmishes have been going on at the non-delimited conventional border line of Azerbaijan and Armenia and around the Karabakh region. The parties accuse each other of violating the ceasefire.

On August 22, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that during the provocation committed by the Armenians, Nazarov Ramiz Ismat, a serviceman of the Azerbaijan Army, was slightly wounded by a ricocheted bullet from the opposing side.

"We inform that the entire responsibility for the consequences of provocations committed by the opposing side lies with the military-political leadership of Armenia," the report added.

A day earlier, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that at around 3:30 PM [local time], the units of the Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire against the Armenian combat outposts nearby Akhpradzor, in the wake of which a serviceman of the N military unit of the Armenian Ministry of Defence Vanik Aram Ghazaryan was fatally wounded.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan also released information about the neutralization of technical surveillance and listening devices on the supply routes and in the areas close to the combat positions of the Azerbaijani Army in Karabakh. 

Notably, on August 21 and 22, civilians of Armenian origin passed through the Lachin border checkpoint. According to the information, on August 21, 41 people from Khankendi/Stepanakert, and on August 22, 61 people of Armenian origin with Russian citizenship crossed to Armenia.
