
Turkish Defense Minister Vows Unwavering Support for Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus

During his visit to Şanlıurfa province on April 11, Turkish Minister of National Defense Yashar Güler affirmed the Turkish Armed Forces' support for the rightful positions of brotherly, friendly, and allied nations, particularly Northern Cyprus and Azerbaijan.
Güler emphasized Turkey's contribution to global and regional security, peace, and stability. "Modern Turkey, under the leadership of President Erdogan, remains committed to advancing peace," Güler stated, highlighting Turkey's proactive approach to addressing various conflicts. We have endeavored to resolve issues in Karabakh, Libya, the Ukraine-Russia war, the Middle East, and numerous other regions. Our nation has taken significant initiatives in this regard and continues to do so," he stressed.
Güler underscored Turkey's emergence as a global actor dedicated to promoting peace and security on the international stage. He emphasized Turkey's active participation in global security structures and its commitment to facilitating peaceful resolutions through diplomatic channels.
Furthermore, the Minister of National Defense highlighted the Turkish army's successful anti-terrorist operations in recent years. "Significant blows have been dealt to PKK terrorists, diminishing the capacity of this violent organization," Güler remarked, acknowledging the effectiveness of Turkey's counter-terrorism efforts.
