Ukrainian children undergo psychological rehabilitation in Baku. A group of Ukrainian children deprived of parental care during the Russian-Ukrainian war is undergoing psychological rehabilitation in Baku. Rehabilitation is carried out with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Health.

According to the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, 28 children between the age of 7 and 17 without parental care and four supervisors accompanying them arrived in Baku on August 21. Ukrainian children were placed in the Sanatorium-Resort Rehabilitation Center of the Ministry of Health. The children will be provided psychological and medical rehabilitation services for 21 days.

In April, Caucasus Watch reported that Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Azerbaijan is providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine and is taking a neutral position in Russia's war against his country. "Turkey shows that it wants to be a leader among the countries that mediate negotiations with Russia. Turkey has openly stated that it wants to be among the countries guaranteeing Ukraine's security. I have not heard this from Azerbaijan so far. However, I want to say that President Aliyev has always supported Ukraine. There was humanitarian aid and medical aid. I think it is difficult for Azerbaijan today to help Ukraine with weapons. This is understandable because they have the Nagorno-Karabakh problem. Azerbaijan is one of the few countries that we understand its position and neutrality because there could be another war. But in any case, we expect more," Zelenskyy stated.

In the same month, Caucasus Watch reported that the Azerbaijani government sent humanitarian aid to provide medical assistance and meet the basic needs of Ukrainian refugees who fled to Moldova because of the crisis in Ukraine. The plane departed from the Heydar Aliyev International Airport this morning to deliver 29 tons of humanitarian aid worth more than 925 thousand euros to Chișinău airport. Moldovan Ambassador in Azerbaijan Nicolae Cojuhari said that Azerbaijan, a friendly country, is helping Moldova in these difficult times. "Although many Ukrainian citizens have moved to other countries using Moldovan territory, currently, about 100,000 Ukrainians have temporarily settled in Moldova. This is about 4% of the country's population," he said.

In March, the Baku City Executive Power sent 30 tons of humanitarian aid to Kyiv residents, the press service of the Baku City Executive Power reported. The supplies were collected by Baku district administrations and residents of the capital. Humanitarian aid mainly includes food and other necessities.
