44 Azerbaijanis Return to Lachin
On June 19, 13 more families (44 people) returned to the liberated city of Lachin in Azerbaijan, the Press Office of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs reported.
The displaced families have settled in the houses they used to live in Lachin, which were restored or rebuilt at the expense of state funds. According to the information, a permanent settlement of 55 families, i.e., 213 people, was ensured in Lachin.
Fuad Huseynov, the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Affairs, said that by the end of this year, a total of about 2,000 IDP families, that is, about 10,000 former IDPs, will return to their native homes and be permanently resettled in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions.
"Up to 700 families are planned to be relocated to Lachin city, 400 families to Zabukh and Sus villages of Lachin district. At the same time, 267 families are planned to return to Fuzuli city and 100 families to Aghali village of Zangilan in the next stage," he said.
