Adam Delimkhanov Proposes Equating Cryptocurrency Miners in Chechnya with Terrorists
On 30 December, Adam Delimkhanov, a member of the Russian State Duma and one of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov's closest supporters, said that cryptocurrency miners in Chechnya could be equated with terrorists because of the social damage they cause.
In his remarks, Delimkhanov stressed that miners whose activities cause power problems for entire districts, villages or towns in the republic would face severe punishment.
He said that such people would be recognised as terrorists. Delimkhanov stressed that their actions have a negative impact on society as a whole.
