The Armenian economy will develop by 30% in the short term as a result of unblocking communications. The Economic Minister, Vahan Kerobyan, shared this information during a debate of the draft state budget for 2022 in the Armenian parliament.

The World Bank, according to Kerobyan, has research on the issue, however it is relatively old.

The National Academy of Sciences' Research Institute of Economics was commissioned by the ministry to create an updated version of this research.

As the minister noted, the issue will be studied from the point of view of benefits not only for Armenia but also for other countries, which will become an important argument during the negotiation process.

"Therefore, it is necessary to show that this will aid not only us but also Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran, Georgia, and other countries. This will help us correctly build our position in the negotiations," Kerobyan explained.

It should be reminded that on October 20, a meeting of the trilateral working group on Karabakh was held in Moscow with the participation of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan - Mher Grigoryan, Alexey Overchuk, and Shahin Mustafayev respectively. The parties considered the prospects for the restoration of transport communications in the region.
