
Azerbaijan Sends New Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine

On February 20, another humanitarian aid consisting of electrical equipment was sent from Azerbaijan to Ukraine.
The humanitarian cargo delivered by the Ministry of Energy and sent to Ukraine from the Sumgayit Technology Park includes more than 670 thousand meters of electric cables and wires, as well as 26 transformers and complete transformer stations.
"Humanitarian goods carried by a convoy of 25 TIR trucks are being sent to support the restoration of stable electricity supply to the affected areas due to the current situation in Ukraine," the information added.
During a meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador Seymur Mardaliyev, Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan's ongoing support, particularly recalling assistance rendered during the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station explosion.
The discussion also centered on Azerbaijan and Ukraine's exchange of expertise in humanitarian demining efforts. Minister Klimenko acknowledged Azerbaijan's firsthand experience with mine threats and emphasized the value of Azerbaijani specialists' skills in aiding Ukraine's demining efforts. He thanked Azerbaijan for providing a mechanized demining vehicle, which would be utilized in clearing agricultural lands.
The meeting also touched upon collaborative efforts to combat illegal arms trafficking and crime. Minister Klimenko expressed optimism about the continued cooperation between their countries, highlighting the importance of strengthening mutual engagement on security matters.
